Question

Why Does Zapier Show "No Data" for JotForm Fields Across Multiple Apps, Even When Data Is Present?

I'm running into a frustrating issue with Zapier where it shows "No Data" for fields pulled from JotForm submissions when trying to use them in subsequent steps, even though the data exists and is set up correctly.

Here’s the situation:

  1. I have a JotForm form with fields like "Primary Booking Guest Name" and "Primary Booking Guest Email." These fields are correctly populated in JotForm.
  2. When I test the Zapier JotForm trigger, I can see the data from submissions (e.g., names and email addresses are visible).
  3. However, when I try to use this data in other steps—whether it’s Slack, ChatGPT, ActiveCampaign, or any other app—Zapier shows "No Data" for those fields.

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Testing the JotForm trigger and pulling in new records.
  • Submitting new test entries in JotForm with all fields completed.
  • Double-checking field mapping in Zapier to ensure I’m selecting the correct fields.
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the JotForm integration.
  • Adding a Formatter step to handle missing data or default values, but the fields still come up as empty.

Despite all this, Zapier continues to show "No Data" across multiple apps for fields that clearly exist in the JotForm submission data.

My question: Why does Zapier fail to recognize the data for subsequent steps, even though it’s visible in the JotForm trigger test? How can I fix this so that the data flows correctly to all apps?  Thank you in advance!

Hi @Nando - I’m assuming you’ve already done this, but what happens when you click the purple “continue with the selected record” button and then proceed to the next step? It’s gotten me a few times that I haven’t actually designated the test data to use.

Hi @Nando,

Welcome to the Community.

If your Jotform and Zapier integration shows "No Data" for some fields, check if they are hidden or conditional, as they may not always populate. Re-test your trigger in Zapier after any changes, ensure there are no data formatting issues, and try a different browser or incognito mode to rule out cache or extension interference. If problems persist, contact Zapier Support for further assistance.

I hope this helps and we get your Zap up and running soon.

@JammerS  Thank you for the suggestion, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue. The fields in JotForm are neither hidden nor conditional, and they are correctly mapped in Zapier. I’ve re-tested the trigger multiple times, submitted fresh test entries, checked data formatting, and even tried different browsers and incognito mode, but the problem persists. The "No Data" issue remains.

Could you provide further assistance or escalate this to identify why the data isn’t populating in Zapier?

Thank you!

@Mistryer Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, I’ve already tried clicking the purple “continue with the selected record” button and proceeding to the next step. Unfortunately, even after selecting the test data and moving forward, the issue persists, and the fields still show "No Data" in the action steps.

Hi @Nando,

If Jotform fields aren’t populating in Zapier despite basic troubleshooting, the issue may require deeper investigation. The Zapier Support team may need to review the detailed logs to identify the cause. Meanwhile, ensure your Jotform account has the necessary permissions to share data with Zapier and check for network issues.
