Question

Why can't Stripe find this customer?

In my sample data I’m using an email address that is associated with a customer, but I also tried using a known email address associated with an existing customer. In both cases the test is saying “Nothing could be found for the search.”

I tried the “Help me fix it,” option which seems to have some information that I can’t see (or it is making things up?) but either way, Zapier says it is sending information in the query and Stripe is not finding that information. What am I missing here?

Hi @MuckRock,

Welcome to the Community.

If Zapier can't find a customer in Stripe, ensure the email format is correct and try a different email tied to an active Stripe customer. Verify the customer's status in Stripe and reconnect your Stripe account to Zapier if needed. Also, ensure sample data matches a Stripe customer during testing.

Hi @MuckRock

Try testing with the Zap turned ON, then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Post screenshots of the Zap Runs data if you need more help.
