Which AI actually helps the most with Zapier?

‹›I've been using ChatGPT to build a few Zapier automations, but I keep running into the same issue. It gives me steps that look right, then I hit errors or end up going in circles.

Has anyone had better results with Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or something else?

I also came across Workbeaver recently. From what I understand, it focuses more on helping automate actual workflows instead of just explaining them, so I'm curious if anyone has tried using it alongside Zapier.

Would love to hear what's been working for you lately.

      I've had good results using chatgpt with zapier MCP, but in a different way than you’re describing. Rather than asking it how to build a Zap, I've been using it as the reasoning layer while Zapier handles the execution. For example, I recently built an AI accounting assistant that had the freedom to read vendor invoices, determine whether the vendor existed in QuickBooks, create them if needed, create the bill...etc. For my customer's use case, a natural language interface in chatgpt backed by MCP made a lot more sense than trying to model every possible scenario with a fixed workflow.
