What causes the "last edit" column to update?

I am trying to understand what causes the “last edit” field to be updated. I haven’t been in Zapier in recent days and see that some zaps were recently edited. I also checked on some of the zaps and they haven’t been run recently.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been puzzled about the “last edit” column, but it is the first time that I am starting to look at what it means.

    Check the Zap > Details > Change History tab.
