Hi,

I'm fairly new to Zapier, but I currently have a working Stripe–Outlook connection set up. It triggers a New Client Welcome Email from Outlook whenever a new customer is created in Stripe — and it’s been really helpful so far.

Now, I’d like to refine this workflow by adding an additional condition: the welcome email should only be sent after a payment is made, in addition to the customer being new in Stripe.

  1. Is this possible in Zapier?

  2. If so, what's the best way to build this out? From what I can tell, Zapier doesn’t allow multiple trigger events in a single Zap.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mark

Hey there @markcole10, welcome to the Community! 🎉

It’s been a while since you reached out here, were you able to get this sorted?

If not, you’re right. It’s not possible to have two triggers for the same Zap currently. You could duplicate the Zap and change the second Zap to use the New Payment Stripe trigger, so you’d have two Zaps that carry out the same action but have different triggers.

That said, you may want to tweak the wording in each email so new customers who also make a payment don’t receive duplicates.

And if you only ever want a single email sent, another option is to store customer records in Zapier Tables. Then you could use a Find Record action to check if the customer has already received the email, and use a Filter to stop the Zap from sending the email again.

Keep us posted on how you get on!
