Updating Zapier Email

Has anyone else had trouble changing their email with Zapier? I’m on the 750 plan, which doesn’t include customer support from a real person, and the chatbot has not been helpful with this issue.

My Zapier account is connected to my Google account. When I go to change the email it is associated with, I go to Settings>My Profile and click “Change Email” next to my email address. When I do that, it prompts me to log in to my Google account to verify that it is me.

Next it takes me to a “Change Email” page that says “You must first disconnect any connected accounts before changing your email address.” Below that, it gives me a button that says “Disconnect” next to my connected Google account. When I click “Disconnect,” I am given the following error:

Error removing configuration. Please try again.

As far as I can tell, no one has posted about this error online before, and I can’t seem to find a workaround.

Has anyone had success after receiving this error?

Hi @PeteFBA

Try managing login providers here in Zapier: https://zapier.com/app/settings/security-data/providers

Hi @Troy Tessalone —

I tried this and ended up with the same error.

I also tried all the above and am unable to make any changes. Like @PeteFBA , I’ve found the chatbot unhelpful and have only been directed to upgrade my plan or submit a ticket. So, I’ve submitted three tickets and have yet to receive a response from a human in two weeks.

I have exactly the same problem. Zapier does not allow me to change my email, which is currently connected to my google account. I have tried all the above and always get the same error.
