The following happens on a few different zaps with different actions.

When the option is if no search results are found, i can either mark safely halted and skip steps OR mark successful.

Sometimes i actually need to work with the data that is marked safely halted and to skip the steps that use the search result, but i cant figure out how to create a path under no search results. I tried adding an error handler, but that doesnt do the job since marking it safely halted isnt considered an error.

Any help is appreciated

Hi @DBercccssss12,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

You can use Paths by Zapier and use the “Zap search was found status” data from the Find step as your Path condition.

Hopefully, this helps!

Hi there, @DBercccssss12 👋

Did Ken’s suggestion of selecting the Paths by Zapier app instead of an error handler do the trick?

Keen to make sure your Zap is all set, so let us know how it went! 🙏

Hi.

Basically, my zaps consist of:

ex: try to do a lookup via column A. if not found (error handler)

then try this (col 😎, if not found, then try this (col c), etc… but each path then requires duplications of the initial flow (col A). it just seems redundant and easy to make mistakes

Hi @DBercccssss12,

I believe the error handler is not the correct action to use here since the Find step won’t return an error if the data is not found. Instead you can use Paths by Zapier as an alternative to the error handler.

Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!
