I have a google sheet named “mycustomers”.
I cannot connect to it from zapier. I put mycustomers into the “spreadsheet” text box and nothing happens.

Can you check if you have connected correct Google Account? Also can share a screenshot of your Google Sheet? I want to see the top left part of google sheet with a few column headers.
