I’m trying to connect my Gmail to Zapier to automatically extract and compile the emails I receive from Google Business Profile about customer reviews.

Here’s what I want to automate:

• Every time I receive a review notification email from Google (usually daily), I want to:

  • Extract the number of reviews, star ratings, and customer comments

  • Identify which employee received the review (if mentioned)

  • Store this information in a Google Sheet or database

Goal: Maintain a running log so I can view review counts and quality per day, and compile the data weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly — without doing this manually.

The problem: I’m running into issues during setup. The Zap isn’t pulling the data as expected. I’ve attached a few screenshots showing the Gmail-Zapier setup and the errors I’m facing.

Has anyone set up something like this successfully?

• Is what I’m trying to do possible using only Gmail + Zapier + Google Sheets?

• Do I need to use a Gmail filter, formatter, or code step to parse the review content?

• Any help with troubleshooting or sample Zaps would be amazing.
