Twitter Zap Not Logging Tweets to Google Sheets

Hi Zapier Community,

I’ve set up a Zap that pulls tweets from a specific Twitter account and logs them into Google Sheets, but it’s not working as expected.

Here’s what my Zap is supposed to do:

  1. Trigger: When a new tweet is posted by a specific Twitter account.
    • I’m using TweetHunter as the application for this.
    • I used the “New Tweet by a Specific User” trigger and entered the correct Twitter handle.
  2. Action: Save the tweet text and timestamp to Google Sheets in the correct columns.

Issue:

  • I tried sending a new tweet, but it did not log into Google Sheets as expected.

Questions:

  • Is there a way to check if Zapier is missing tweets or if there is a delay?
  • Is TweetHunter the best way to do this, or should I use a different method?

Would appreciate any guidance on troubleshooting this!

Best,
Austin

Hey there, @AustinH! 👋

I looked into this and it appears that you’re running into a bug where the Tweet Published trigger isn’t triggering off of all new tweets. We can’t provide a timeline for a fix, but I’ve added you to the bug report as an affected user, so you’ll be notified via email as soon as it’s sorted.

Sorry to not have a more immediate solution to suggest right now. There aren’t any reported workarounds noted at the moment but I’ll be sure to follow up here if I come across any. If there’s anything else we can help with in the meantime please do let us know.

Hi @AustinH

Check your Zap Runs history for activity/issues and to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step, such as the ROW ID created, to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If the Zap is not triggering, then that could be related to:

  • How your Zap trigger step is configured
  • How you are trying to test live to trigger your Zap trigger step
  • Issues with your Zap app connections: https://zapier.com/app/history/
  • Issues with the app used in the Zap trigger step

Most Zap apps are created and managed by the app developer using the Zapier Developer Platform, so try reaching out to Tweet Hunter Support for help with their Zap app integration.
