Hi @disagrey
Some Zap Apps only return representative records from the trigger step for you to use to configure the Zap action step.
Try configuring the Zap action steps then turn the Zap ON and test live.
Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
Hi @disagrey, welcome to the Community! 😁
Were you able to switch on the Zap and run a live test as Troy suggested?
If so, then you can try selecting a live Zap run as the test record. That should then allow you to map the relevant fields from the Zoom trigger to the subsequent actions in your Zap. You can find out more about how to do that here: Select from previous Zap run.
Keep us posted on how it’s going, want to make sure you’re all set!
Hi @Troy Tessalone , sorry for the delayed response. Both of what you suggested works well, thank you so much. This was the solution to the issue.
But it seems Zoom creates a very limited interaction for the Zapier trigger. Although I select a channel in Zapier for Team Chat, only the account connected can send messages. Do I have to include external users to my orgs account and belongs in one group?
Thanks!
Thanks so much for confirming Troy’s suggestions did the trick, @disagrey—and thank you @Troy Tessalone for providing the answer! 🙌

When you say “only the account connected can send messages” is it only the connected account is able to view the messages? Asking as I did some digging and came across a strange bug for the Send Channel Message action where when the "Send as Bot" setting was enabled, only the user who set up the bot could view the messages in the channel. Does that sound like what’s happening?
If so, can you try disabling the "Send as Bot" setting to see if external users are then able to see them? Since it was noted that on the bug, that if that setting is disabled then the message is visible to all members—although it would then appear as if the user sent the message and not the bot.
If that’s not the issue, is it more that you need the Zoom Team Chat triggers to trigger on messages posted by all users in a channel, not just the channel owner?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
