  1. Added a custom emoji in my team Slack
  2. Set up a Zap that when that Slack Reaction is used it will take the Slack Message content and fill a row in a preset google sheet I created

Everything I setup worked in all tests, so I published. After publishing I went ahead and reacted to some slack messages (recent and old) and saw the rows were not filling. What should I be checking to fix this? Is it a significant delay and I should be patient?

Let me know how to troubleshoot.

Hi @cbradley

Check your Zap Runs history for activity and errors: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If there are Zap Runs, the GSheet step will shows the Row/ID in the DATA OUT.

Make sure you are checking the correct GSheet spreadsheet and worksheet.

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

Hi @cbradley 👋

Just wanted to check how you’re getting on—did Troy’s suggestions help to point you in the right direction?

If you did manage to fix it, we’d love to hear what the solution was. This could be super helpful for others that might be running into issue. 🙏

And if you’re still stuck at all, feel free to share some screenshots as Troy mentioned and we’ll take a closer look. Just be sure to blur/remove any personal info (names, emails etc.) before sharing—you can use a tool like Zappy for that.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
