I have a Zap which looks for new emails in an inbox folder every 2 minutes.

Once these are assigned a category they’re passed on for further actions.

When I manually trigger it this works, however it seems to no work intermittantly when run automatically.

Could it be that the filter looking for a category considers the email old if it’s found within one tick cycle without a category? So it’s failing to pass on the email for additional actions within the Zap?

Hi and welcome to the Community @Admind! 🎉

It would trigger when it checks emails in that specific folder and finds a new one, so if it’s the first time the email has been moved to that folder then it should trigger the Zap. I’m wondering if the trigger is only able to see new messages that are added to the folder within a certain time frame—similar to how it works with Gmail. 🤔

How old are the emails that are being missed in by the Zap?

Hi Sam, it seems to be working now.

My suspicion is that the recent global Outlook outage affected this.

One thing I have noticed is that it won’t re-trigger on emails moved into and out of a parent folder.

However emails that exist within a child folder that are then moved into the parent do not seem to affect this.

Hi @Admind,

That’s great news! We’re glad to hear that the Zap is now up and running.
