Troubleshooting new payment records not showing in Square with Zapier

Hi Community!

 

I’m using Zapier to catch data on the new payments in Square. I have a specific type of payment in Location X - when a lead purchases my guide via Square payment link. 

 

I’m trying to test this automation now. I bought this guide myself and payment was successfully completed. However, I cannot see any new records related to this. 

 

What the problem can be and how to fix it?

What is the action/triggers you are using? A screenshot would be helpful to guide you better

Hey, 

 

I was using Square New Payment trigger. 

 

When I tested the automation, it did process similar data which was not visible on the test step stage. 

 

So I’m not sure what exactly the problem was. I waited long enough for the new test data to load (tried a few times within an hour). 

 

Hopefully, nothing will brake :)

Your Square 'New Payment' Zap isn't detecting your test payment. To troubleshoot, ensure the trigger is correctly set up, verify the payment appears in Square, re-test the trigger after a few minutes, and check Zap History. If the issue persists, it may be an integration problem, and contacting Zapier support is recommended.

Just wanted to check how things are going on this—is the Zap triggering for new payments now?

If it’s still not working, as Jammer mentioned, it would be best to reach out to our Support team to investigate further in case there’s a bug preventing that New Payments trigger from running.

But in the meantime, perhaps you could try switching to the New Order Square trigger and set it to only trigger on new orders that are completed. Alternatively, if payments are handed by a payment processor app like Stripe or PayPal for example you could try using one of them as the trigger for the Zap instead.
