Hi folks

Here’s what I’m trying to do

  • At a given time each day, a Zap makes ChatGPT either start a new convo or continue a new one (I don’t care which)

I’ve tried:

  • Setting this up as a Zap
  • I’ve connected my CGPT account (paid versino)
  • I’ve given it a correct OpenAPI key
  • The test says message was sent to CGPT
  • The test also shows Zapier is getting a message back from CGPT
  • BUT nothing ever shows in my actual CGPT

I’ve tried:

  • Using a different trigger (e.g if I get an email to my Gmail send a message/prompt to CGPT)
  • Removing and re-adding CGPT access

I’m at a loss why Zapier seems to be getting a ‘reply’ from CGPT but I’m seeing nothing!

thanks so much

Hi @ZopAndy

Welcome to the Community! 😊

It sounds like you're expecting to see the response directly in your ChatGPT account, but just to clarify, the way the Zapier-ChatGPT integration works is a little different. The response from ChatGPT won't show up in your ChatGPT interface. Instead, it will appear in the 'Data Out' tab of the ChatGPT action when you run your Zap.

You can map the 'Full Response' value returned from the ChatGPT action to other actions within your Zap. So, while the reply doesn't appear in ChatGPT directly, it will be available within the Zapier workflow.

If you're still having trouble or have more questions about your setup, we're here to help! 😊 Feel free to reach out to our support team, and one of our team members can take a closer look at your specific Zap.

Hope this helps, and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, appreciate it and that makes sense.

So just to check - there’s no way of achieving what I’m after?

Hi @ZopAndy,

Currently, responses from ChatGPT in a Zapier workflow appear in the 'Data Out' tab of the ChatGPT action and can't be viewed directly within your ChatGPT account. Achieving this would require a different setup that isn't supported by the Zapier-ChatGPT integration.

No worries, appreciate the response!
