Trouble extracting custom fields from Convertkit Form via Zapier

Hi,

I tried to extract Convertkit Form Details to send to a specifc email recipient via Zapier. At the moment, I have several custom fields ie phone number, occupation etc on the Convertkit Form. However, when configure the outbound email, the only available form details are limited ( see the screenshot above). Any ideas on how to extract more custom fields details on the form so I can input it on the body email?

Many thanks for your help

Thank you for the quick follow up Ken. After reaching out to Kit, it was an issue with a Zapier update and a Kit update. After a few days, their Engineering team were able to dispatch an updated version (2.0.4) of the Kit plugin that fixed the issue, and now Zapier should allow subscribers to be created or updated for the following events: Add Tag to Subscriber, Add Subscriber to Form, and Add Subscriber to Sequence. I can now confirm that the custom fields work for new and existing contacts.

Hi @Janet20,

Have you submitted your ConvertKit form with custom fields? If not, you should do that and then retest your trigger so that it can pull in the latest data. Hopefully then those fields will be available. And if not, it might not be possible or you may need to contact support. There would be one other possibility to use webhooks, but I don’t know if that’s possible with ConvertKit either.

Hi @Janet20

You can also try adding this as Zap step 2: ConvertKit - Find Subscriber

Sometimes additional fields are returned to use.

I am experiencing the same issue. I created a form with custom fields, and when I try to Zap it to Kit, many fields don’t show up, even though I followed the solutions in this post. What can be done? I usually see the option to “Create or Update Contact” with other email platforms, but that option isn’t available on Kit with Zapier.

Hi @AsmaaM,

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “CONFIGURE” section of the action step.

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!
