I would like to connect apollo to attio so that when I add contacts or advance contacts in a sequence in apollo, the contact is created or the stage of the sequence and disposition of each task is tracked in Attio.

Creating person records in attio for apollo is already solved.

I am having trouble tracking sequence steps and dispositions from apollo in attio. When mapping fields, I cannot locate the task step or disposition from apollo.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi @orbital,

Welcome to the Community,

If you're trying to track sequence steps and dispositions from Apollo in Attio but are having trouble mapping the fields, start by confirming Apollo's trigger outputs for this data. Check their API docs or support if needed. In Zapier, make sure you've selected the correct trigger and look for any hidden fields. If the data isn't available through standard triggers, try using Zapier's Webhooks to catch Apollo's data. Also, ensure Attio has the necessary fields (or create custom ones), and test your setup to ensure everything maps correctly. If issues persist, contacting Apollo or Attio support can help.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Hey @orbital, just checking in! 👋

Did Jammer’s reply help to point you in the right direction?

Happy to lend a hand if you get stuck at all! 🙂

@SamB @JammerS Can y’all provide more detail here? This high level description isn’t really moving the needle for me. Ideally y’all could provide a step by step.

Hi @orbital,

Hi there, it's great to hear you've already got contact creation from Apollo to Attio working! Tracking sequence steps and dispositions can get a bit tricky since Apollo doesn't expose all sequence data through Zapier natively.

Apollo's Zapier integration currently doesn't provide granular triggers or fields for sequence steps or task dispositions. That's likely why you're not seeing those fields when mapping in your Zap. A few workarounds you can try:

  1. Use Apollo Webhooks (if available on your plan): You can set up a webhook in Apollo to trigger when a contact moves in a sequence or completes a step. Then, send that data to Zapier via Webhooks by Zapier map to Attio.
  2. Check Apollo's exports: If Apollo allows exporting sequence activity (including step + disposition), you might consider a scheduled CSV export, Google Sheets, Zapier watches for changes and updates Attio.
  3. Manual logging or tagging: As a temporary workaround, if Apollo lets you tag contacts or log updates when a step is completed, use that action as a trigger in Zapier and then pass that to Attio.

I'd love to help more with a step-by-step, but could you share:

  • What trigger are you using in Apollo for the sequence tracking?
  • What kind of data are you hoping to log in Attio (for example, "step 2: Opened Email, Disposition: Interested")?
