I am trying to connect my CRM with Motion, so that follow up calls can be autoscheduled in the future. For some reason, the item name from Monday.com will transfer perfectly when I run test Zaps, but then will not transfer the item name once it’s published.

For us to have context, we would need to see screenshots with how your Zap step are outlined and configured.
The pulse name from Monday to Motion is what is not transferring.

What about the screenshot for how the Zap trigger step is configured?
I don’t think there’s an issue with the Monday trigger
To help you troubleshoot, check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step: https://zapier.com/app/history/
The Zap trigger is instant, so it may be that the Monday Item Name is not populated before the Date column is being changed.
