But after refreshing all the fields in an existing Zap the QBO exchange rate field is nowhere to be found…

Before we dig deeper into this, could you please try reconnecting your QuickBooks Online account and head back to the QuickBooks Online action step and click on the refresh fields button?

Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!

Reconnected to QBO using the production (not the sandbox) connection, went to my zap, refreshed the QBO fields and still the same, no exchange rate field. Note that I’m trying to automate a Vendor Bill import into QBO and not clients invoices.

it’s for INVOICES and not BILLS from vendor, it was clearly asked for Vendors here https://community.zapier.com/members/mid-29510 I have opened support tickets twice on this issue, last one was in August.
