Hello,

My Zapier account has one active zap, I believe its task usage is counted incorrectly.

The zap starts with a filter which determines whether the zap will be triggered or not. According to zap history, filtered zaps utilise 0 tasks and successful zaps utilise 10 tasks. My total task usage doesn’t add up at all though, some examples over the last few days:

14th Sep
Successful task runs: 2 (10 tasks per zap run)

Task usage for the day: 36 (should be 20)

13th Sep

Successful task runs: 4 (10 tasks per zap run)

Task usage for the day: 60 (should be 40)

I asked Zapier support for help on this one and they’re adamant the numbers are correct. My question is, if each zap run consumes 10 tasks, why is the total usage always higher?

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Dejw

Good question.

We would need to see more screenshots that show more context. (e.g. Filters)

Such as from your Task Usage tab.

I have an open support case regarding this as well.

We are (without question) being overcharged for tasks, not only that, the various counters and graphs don’t even agree.

Example day in our system July 25th.
Maximum reported tasks is (2) per zap run.
“Zap History” no filters = 3,556 Zap Runs
Maximum possible tasks = 7112

→ However many of those runs only had 1 task!!!

But let’s move on.
30 day task graph (no filters) shows 8112 tasks!!!!
That is 1000 more than the actual possible and around 1700 more than actual.

Let’s move on though… Again NO FILTERS

If we drill down to July 25th
we see 7532 “tasks automated”

But the graph shows 6,474 tasks??

But lets keep digging deeper shall we? Right below that is the usage per Zap (3 of them)

So those add up to 7532…. or do they?  Let’s drill down into each one!!

The first shows 7920 tasks???

There are 3,480 zap runs, with max 2 tasks each (no filters) = 6960 maximum tasks, but many have 1 task listed.

I would drill into the other two, but you can see where this is going….

Every part of this interface lists different numbers and none of them match.

There is no way to account for actual usage. There is no phone support and instead just some random person on the other end saying “trust us, the number is right…..”

Hi @NoLogic,

It looks like your ticket has been escalated to our Escalations team. I recommend continuing the conversation with them since they have the correct tools to look closer at your Zapier account and see what’s causing this.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.
