Systeme.io error: The app returned "Email address is invalid"

I have a zap that links Mailchimp and system IO. When someone opts in to the Mailchimp form, Mailchimp sends the info to Systeme IO. It’s saying email is invalid. Does this just mean people are writing in an invalid email? Or is there a glitch with the zap?

For us to have more context about the error, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot the error:

If the error is happening for all Zap Runs, then that’s an issue with how the Zap step is configured or the app being used in the Zap step.

If the error is happening for individual Zap Runs, then that’s likely a data issue for that specific Zap Run.

 

In your screenshot, the email address looks to be formatted correctly.

Systeme.io may be determining the email address is invalid because it is not deliverable.

You may want to try reaching out to Systeme.io Support for help troubleshooting their Zap app integration error message.
