Question

Sync Canceled Google Calendar Events to Google Sheet

Hi - I hope someone here could help! :)

Goal - Sync Google Sheet with Google Calendar

  • Updates the Google Sheet automatically whenever a Google Calendar event is canceled
  • Automatically clear the row where the canceled event is located

Above is the current Zap I am working on. I am not sure if it is correct, I used this template from Zapier. However, I am not sure what the Filter Condition is supposed to be for this goal that I wanted to happen.

  • Notes - “Canceled” status does not seem to appear as an available information from a Google Calendar Event.

I am also having difficulties on setting up the Row to be cleared. The goal is to clear the row where the canceled event is.

If someone knows how to fix this, it would be very helpful! Thanks in advance! :)

-Isabel

Hi @isabel_diesta

Try turning the Zap ON, then testing live.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

NOTE: You may need to use an alternative spelling in the filter condition: cancelled

Hi there, @isabel_diesta, just checking in—were you able to get it working by updating the filter condition as Troy suggested?

Looking forward to hearing from you! 🙂

Hi @Troy Tessalone and @SamB - Thanks for checking and for your response.

Was able to fix the issue and got this up and running.

Additional question tho:

How can I enable the “Transfer Data” in the Zap that I created? The Zap I created is working to automatically add new row in a Google Sheet when there are new Google Calendar Events created as well as updated ones.

Other than new events, another goal is to transfer past Google Calendar events to this Google Sheet.

I was able to do this before, but I cannot seem to figure out how. I hope you both can help. Thanks!

Best,

Isabel

HI @Troy Tessalone,

I was able to check this article earlier before posting here.

I am using Google Calendar, which is a supported trigger. The Zap is also complete and has been published. However, “Transfer Data” option is still grayed out.

@isabel_diesta

With the Transfer Data option disabled that means the Zap trigger event is not supported for Transfer Data.
