Hello,

I am creating a google sheet new/update row to trigger to create signature request in DocuSign.

I have connected my google sheet spreadsheet

I have selected the tab worksheet

I have choose the trigger column

For Testing I get the message “We found a spreadsheet row!” but the data is not pulling from the worksheet as I need it to.

How can I trouble shoot this?

Thanks!

Stephanie

Hi @STRStephanie

Good question.

The row found was row 15.

Does row 15 have data in the columns?

Make sure to review the help articles for using GSheets in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/help

Thanks Troy!

That is correct, there is no data in row 15. Only data in the top five rows including my headers. I do not see a help article about how to get selections of “row a b or c” to select the correct rows in the spreadsheet.

My trigger is “ New Spreadsheet Row in Google Sheets” therefore is the new row I enter is row 6 why does it continuously pull up row 15, 16 etc? If you have a specific help article about that please send.

@STRStephanie

Do you have formulas or existing values in any of the cells in row 15?

No, row 15 is blank. Only rows 1-5 have data.

Hey there @STRStephanie,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

Zapier interprets a blank row as the end of the spreadsheet and may have trouble finding any new rows below it. Could you please try deleting those blank rows and load in a new sample data from the trigger by clicking on “Load more.”

More about that here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8495995099533-Common-Problems-with-Google-Sheets-on-Zapier#column-names-don-t-match-the-actual-column-header-on-the-sheet-0-21

Hopefully, this helps! 😊
