I have created a Zap that pulls data/text from a Google Email and formats (if needed) to update a MailChimp contact. However, for some reason the SMS field won’t populate. I have reformatted the number so that it is a “E.164 format.” Everything outside of SMS populates correctly or as intended. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @ashland
Click the underlined field label “SMS Phone Number” to see a tooltip with more info that may provide guidance.
Hello. Yes, I understand. It states “This is merge field "SMSPHONE" in your MailChimp audience's setup.” However, that field is not populating and I am trying to figure out “why” because the number has been changed to be the E.164 format. Any insight?
@ashland
How is the SMS Phone Number field configured in Mailchimp? (Why field type?) ?screenshots]
NOTE: Most Zap app integrations are created and managed by the app developer using the Zapier Developer Platform.
But MailChimp has stated it in its message above that SMS Numbers won’t come through an API connection with Zapier so not sure what the APIs above would do?
I think the APIs listed above would work with approved providers, but as MailChimp has stated that isn’t Zapier.
Or am I missing something?
@ashland
Then it looks like you will have to do it manually.
Ok - thanks for confirming.
