Have a flow with a trigger for New Form Submission, followed by a Zapier action that notifies the team in Slack with the form details. However, it seems to be firing sometimes without any actual form submission or with untracked ones. I checked HubSpot, and there was no info about such form submissions for the exact contact who did it.

What could be triggering this notification? Where should I start looking?

P.S. I double-checked every related zap, and the logic is the same everywhere. Sometimes it provides the correct notification with a real form submission, and other times it doesn’t.

Hi @Nurlan Tlegenov

While your Zap is turned ON, check your Zap Runs history to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

You can always add a Filter as Step 2 to prevent Zap Runs that don’t meet your desired conditions.

Hey Troy,

Thanks for trying to help with that. The filter can't run before the main event that triggers the zap. The question remains: what's happening if there is no form submission? What’s firing the trigger?

You can add a Filter as Step 2 in the Zap to only continue when your desired conditions are met. (e.g. Field X is not empty, etc.)

The Zap trigger for HubSpot New Form Submission is instant, meaning it fires when HubSpot sends a webhook event to trigger the Zap Run.

Perhaps more logic needs to be added to the HubSpot form to make certain fields required to prevent blank submissions.
