Slack Bot coming through as Zapier and not the custom name

At some point today, all Zapier alerts have been coming in as “Zapier” with the Zapier bot icon, instead of the custom bot name + custom icon. It is only happening on my desktop (looks fine on Mobile). What could be causing this?

@Mauricio, ​@Carly P and ​@NewbieDeveloper, I’m really sorry to hear that you were all running into this issue as well. I’ve just checked on the bug report and I’m pleased to report that it’s since been resolved! 😁🎉

For those that didn’t get an email notification I want to share the key details from it here:

Slack has confirmed this incident is resolved with the following update:

> The trouble you were experiencing should now be resolved. Please try reloading Slack (**Command + Shift + R** on Mac or **Ctrl + Shift + R** on Windows/Linux) and let us know if you are still running into any issues.

Please keep in mind this fix will only be implemented for new bot messages and not be applied to any previously sent. We apologize for the disruption to your work day. 

 

As the issue is now fixed I’ll be closing this topic. That said, if you’re still encountering any issues please do post a new topic in the Community here or contact Support directly to let us know.

Thanks so much for flagging this! I did some checking and it appears this is caused by a recently discovered bug. I can’t provide any sort of ETA on when it will be fixed, but I’ve added you to the list of users being impacted by the bug so you’ll be notified by email as soon as it’s been resolved.

There aren’t any workarounds noted at the moment but I’ll be sure to follow up here if I come across any. If there’s anything else we can help with in the meantime please do let us know.
