I am feeling a bit crazy, as I am seeing lots of other people and guides talk about being able to Trigger Zaps based on Salesforce Opportunities. However, for me, Opportunities seems like its is missing

For example, I would want my Zap to feed Google Ads Conversion Data back into Google Ads. This would ideally happen when the Opportunity stage reaches “Closed Won”.

However, Opportunity is not an option as an Object on my Salesforce Zaps.

This Salesforce is part of a law firm and my account could be blocked from areas of access. Not sure if that could be the problem. Or, I am not sure if I am being dense and just missing something obvious.

Appreciate any insights! Thanks!

If you're having trouble with any trigger or action, check your user, object and field permissions

You may not have the right level of access.

Hey Troy!

So can you confirm Opportunities should be available to access within Zapier?

I am not having an other issues or errors with my integration. Just that Opportunities are missing. I am just trying to hunt down the root of the issue before I contact the law firm to look into my permissions.

Thank you - JRohrer

@jrohrer

Salesforce is a highly configurable app, so it’s hard to say since it’s a case by case basis.

I recommend reviewing the available help links for using Salesforce in Zaps for other clues as to what may be a root cause: https://zapier.com/apps/salesforce/integrations#help

Hey @jrohrer, just checking in—were you able to get this sorted?

If not, it could be that there’s an issue with the permissions for the connected Salesforce account.

Looking at the description of the Updated Field on Record trigger, opportunities can be accessed:

And when I do a quick test on my end, I can see Opportunity listed as one of the available Salesforce Objects to select:

So as Troy mentioned earlier, it could be that the connected account doesn’t have the right permissions to be able to access opportunities in Salesforce. 🤔

Either way, please keep us posted on how it’s going. Want to make sure you’re all set!
