I am using Zapier for the first time, I am using the Zoho invoice and sending the invoice to QB however the issue that I am having occurs after I setup the first zap, in the zap config it allows you to set customer name or email, I am using email the first zap works however the next zap for a new customer continues to give me a duplicate customer name error, I cant seem to find the change in zapier to fix this., any help would be appreciated!

Hi @tbondtech

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible, along with the encountered error.

Hi Troy,

Ok Thank you, I will post shortly!

Thank you

Hi, the problem that I am having is that each time I use the zap i have to add the customer name that I have already created in Zoho Invoice or it wont find the new customer to send to QB, I thought that zap would create the new client even if I dont name the client, otherwise I would have to add the new client name to the Zap every time and that would defeat the purpose, I know that I am missing a step somewhere, thank you!

@tbondtech

In Zap step 2, to make the field inputs dynamic you need to use the [+] button to map a variable from a previous Zap step, instead of setting static field values.

NOTE: You may have to add another Zoho Invoice step to find the Invoice Contact/Organization in order to get the data points to map to the QBO Zap steps.

Help link for how to map variables between Zap steps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496343026701-Send-data-between-steps-by-mapping-fields

NOTE: Make sure to use the updated version of the QBO Zap app integration.

@tbondtech

For Zap step QBO Create Invoice, for the Customer field, you need to use the [...] button to switch to “Custom” mode, then map the ID of the QBO Customer from a previous QBO Zap step.
