I can’t get Read.ai to import meeting notes. I have the API key linked up, but all tests produce the same generic placeholders:

Any ideas how to fix?

Hi there @CharlieHoehn,

It looks like the Read.AI “New Meeting Notes” trigger doesn’t return real sample date. However, we do have an existing feature request to return the live sample data from the trigger. I have added your vote to the open feature request. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

In the meantime, you can try this workaround suggested in this community post:

Hopefully, this helps.

Hi @CharlieHoehn

Some Zap app triggers only return representative dummy data as examples to use.

Try using the available representative variable to configure your Zap action step.

Then turn the Zap ON and test live.

Check your Zap Runs history to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
