Problems Receiving WhatsApp Notifications


Hi! I'm having trouble setting up WhatsApp notifications triggered by a Typeform submission (using Path). It was working fine before, but now the WhatsApp notifications have stopped coming through. Zapier shows the message as successfully sent, but nothing is being received on the phone.

I've been researching this issue and reading several articles in the community from the following links:

However, none of them have provided a solution. I’d appreciate your help with this issue.

I've attached a screenshot of my Zap. As you can see in step 4 (ZUHAIRI WHATSAPP), it shows as "Success," but no message was received.

Hi everyone, I’m pleased to announce that the team have fixed this issue now! 🎉

Thank you all so much for your patience while the team worked on resolving this. The fix does require some action on your part, so I’ll share the details from the email notification that was sent out, in case anyone missed it:

“For users hitting issues with messages failing to successfully deliver in the Send Message action despite Zap runs showing successful, we have made fixes that should address the issue.

This issue was isolated to 3 of our 4 most popular message templates options (the 'New Message', 'Calendar Reminder' and 'New Lead' templates).

To take advantage of the bug fix, action is required. Please follow these steps to get your 'Send Message' step working successfully:

1. Head to your Zap. Click Edit Zap/Edit draft and go to your WhatsApp Notifications step.
2. If you were using a message template that was impacted by this bug, you should expect to see a warning message in the Zap Editor indicating that you are using a "deprecated template":



3. Next, delete your 'Template' input.
4. Select from the static options and re-choose among the available template options.
5. Ensure all input fields are mapped as expected and test the step.


Note that the deprecated template options are no longer in the static options listed when setting up this WhatsApp action. Zaps will still run when using the deprecated template options, but they'll continue to see message delivery issues until your step is updated.”

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “CONFIGURE” section of the WhatsApp Notifications step that shows all of its fields.

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

I’m having a similar issue. I reported it to support, and they see the issue, don’t have any solutions at this time and they would follow up with me when it would be addressed. So if you do get a solution, I would also love to know!

Hello guys

I have the same problem since a couple of months ago, I think this is something urgent to solve, the notifications have not worked for a long time, I have exactly the same problem, the tasks are marked as correctly sent in Zapier but the notification never arrives to the phone in whatsapp

 

i’ve made several reports in support but seems that there´s no solution for this

Having the same problem - webhook works, message shows as send successfully but nothing actually being sent

Thanks for reaching out here, I’m sorry you’re both being affected by this issue too. You both have been added to the bug report which does help to increase it’s priority. And although we can’t give any sort of indication as to when you can expect it to be fixed by, we’ll definitely be in touch by email as soon as it’s been resolved.

I am reaching out to inquire about an ongoing issue with my Zapier account. I subscribed to Zapier to automate WhatsApp message sending for new form submissions. Unfortunately, this automation has stopped working, preventing me from receiving important messages. I have verified that my Zap is configured correctly. Could you please investigate this matter and provide a resolution? If this issue cannot be resolved promptly, I would like to request a refund.

Hi ​@ken.a ​@SamB Zapier Staff, I suppose?

Our company subscribed to Zapier the other day just for us to have notifications from Dropbox to Whatsapp.

I made a successful zap including tests, but I found out after 2 successful tests, the notification from Dropbox (upload) to Whatsapp isn’t working/sending anymore despite the Zap itself showing as a success. 

 

I would appreciate it if you could escalate this issue for prompt attention. A straightforward automation like this should work seamlessly, as advertised by Zapier. Thank you for your assistance.

I have the exactly same problem here, it seems there are a notification limit on zapier that only allows two notifications per day. 

Are there any update on it?

@ken.a  Is there any progress with this? I'm only paying Zapier for WhatsApp automation at this moment, and it's not convenient for me to keep paying if this problem continues, which has been going on for almost 2 months.

The bug report is still open unfortunately—sorry for the long wait on this! The team are in contact with Meta to help get this resolved as quickly as possible but we cannot provide any sort of estimate as to when it will be fixed.

I just spotted that it’s since been noted on the bug report that the issue seems to specifically affect the new_lead and new_message templates. Are you using either of those templates? If not, would you mind confirming the name of the other template(s) that’s also being affected so that I can pass that information over to the team?

I am experiencing the same issue. I got my test message to WhatsApp when i set up the new Zap. Then i got one message shortly after that from a legitimate new entry in my Formidable forms.  

BTW it is a very simple 2 step Zap that is triggered by a new entry in a Formidable Form.  

But after those 2 messages (one test and one real time message) it has stopped sending to WhatsApp even though in my history it says it is being sent and all looks good. Wasting a lot of time since then deleting and setting up zap again, relinking my WhatsApp, But nothing works. No demo or real time messages since the very 1st 2 messages.

Is there seriously a 2 message limit?? That would make this whole thing useless.

Is the limitation coming from WhatsApp? is it a WhatsApp issue or a Zapier issue?

Please fix this. Thanks

Disregard above, I deleted all my zaps and removed my WhatsApp connections and tried it again from scratch and now it works.

Hi I’m having the same issue where the test runs show successful but no messages are received on Whatsapp. Even creating a zap from scratch does not fix the issue. It works for 1-2 runs but then stops working again.
