Hey anyone. I’m trying an automation to receive a whatsapp notification each time a response is made on my website. It worked a couple times and then I stopped receving WhatsApp notifications whatsoever. 

 

Anyone facing the same issue?

Messages are marked as sent but I never receive them

Things to check:


Does this only work with business accounts? My Zapiers show success and the history looks fine, but nothing is arriving on WhatsApp.


I tried with a business account and with a personal account. Both the same results: the tests work fine but when activating the zap nothing arrives to any account and success history is shown as well.

The worst part is that Zapier sent me an email saying, 'You're almost out of tasks,' but I haven't received any tasks!

Zap Run actions that are successful count as Tasks.

But, delivery of the message could be a separate issue outside of the Zap step performing the action.


Does it work only with business accounts…?

I don’t know which whatsapp api are you using, but this video shows how to receive a whatsapp message into a group, everytime a zapier form is submitted, I hope it helps:

Can you search WhatsApp for the following number? This is the number to which messages from us are sent. I want to verify that it hasn't been archived and muted.

I'm having the exact same problem here.

In Zaps, shows that everything is running successful but I'm not getting any Whatsapp msgs now.

Upon checking with this issue, and it seems like the issue you’re running into not getting any Whatsapp messages. Our team is aware of the issue and we're working with WhatsApp Notifications on a fix. I've added your email address as another affected user. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track and prioritize fixes
  • Allows us to notify you via email if/when this is fixed

Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA, but I’ve added you to the list of users affected by this issue so we can let you know as soon as we have any updates.

The notifications we are not getting are the ones that the DATA OUT do not show the message itself but a series of letter like a link. Why is this happening? Why it happens 8 out 10 times, the other 2 the data out is the data expected and the notification is received. It is hard to understand why we have been having this issue for almost a month and no solution has been found.

Same issue with the WhatsApp Notifications App in Zapier. The Zap runs successfully, and the action log indicates the message was sent successfully, with no errors in the response. However, the intended recipients are not receiving the WhatsApp messages.

While the log shows a success status, I noticed the above warning regarding the API version. I’m unsure if this could be affecting the message delivery.

For what it’s worth I’m experiencing the same. In Zaps, shows that everything is running successful but I'm not getting any Whatsapp messages now. This Zap has been published and working for more than a year. I have attempted rebuilding it, reconnecting all accounts and updating the whatsapp app on my device. I now receive no messages through Zapier even though they are showing “successful.” For now, I have published a new Zap that will send this info to my email so I still have access to it. I hope it is resolved quickly though.
