Hello,

I am trying to set up and test a document parser template using PDF.co. I have attached screenshots of the template I have created, when running the test on the template its working ok.

When I try run the test in Zapier its returning the incorrect data for some reason. The PDF attachment is the same one I used in both tests.

Thanks for your help

Hey there @Mitchell Zezima here to see if I can help!

When you mention that the incorrect data is returned, can you please elaborate on that? Is the data returned unfamiliar to you as in, you do not know the source, or the incorrect file is being picked up?

I want to be sure I have a full understanding before trying to troubleshoot. Additionally, can you please provide some screenshots of that include the trigger and action you are using? It’s not visible in the current screenshots present.

Looking forward to your response!

Hello Chanelle,

Hi @Mitchell Zezima!

From what I see, you’ve got a PDF attachment coming from the New Bill trigger for Xero. You’re then using the Document Parser action for PDF.co but what you’re then seeing in the PDF.co output data in your Zap doesn’t match the PDF that it supposedly parsed? Is that right?

Have you double-checked the PDF from your trigger step, to make sure it’s the bill you’re expecting? You can try pulling different sample data if you’re not seeing the one you’d like to parse.

I’m not super familiar with the document parsing in PDF.co but I see that you’ve chosen a template ID in your action step. Is that set up to properly parse the type of PDF you’re sending?

I’m just trying to think of possible points of failure, and how to make sure all the right pieces are in place :)
