I created a Zap that connects a Gravity Forms form entry on a Wordpress site to an Airtable table. I have set it up so that it creates a new record in Airtable when a Gravity forms entry is submitted. I tested the Zap and it works - I am able to import a record from Gravity forms into Airtable. I am also able to successfully transfer multiple records into Airtable. However, the Zap is not automatically adding new entries to Airtable when they are submitted in gravity forms. I believe i have everything set up properly and am not able to debug what the problem is.

Hi @cqbent

For us to have more context, we will need to see screenshots with how your steps are outlined and configured.

Sure, here are some screenshots. Let me know if you need others.

@cqbent

Zaps work while turned ON for new data going forward.

Did you test live after the Zap was turned ON?

Check your Zap History for activity: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If the Zap did NOT trigger, then you may have to try a workaround using Webhooks.

Zap is/was turned on. And I did successfully test within Zapier. I also checked the history and it’s only showing the entries that I transferred using the “Transfer Data” feature. So it definitely can access the form and populate the Airtable. It just doesn’t seem to do it automatically on form submission. Is there some way to determine if the form submission trigger is working? Also, I have another Zap I created about 1 year ago for a different Gravity form to Airtable using the same accounts and that works just fine. So why is this one not working? It’s pretty much the same settings.

Doing a live test and checking your Zap Runs history activity would allow you to determine if the Gravity Forms Zap trigger is working.

Perhaps there are multiple versions of the same form on the website.

I feel like I’m going in circles here. I did do a test within the Zap and I did check the history - I just explained that in the last 2 messages. And, no, there are not multiple versions of the same form on the website. There is nothing in that link that helps me with this issue - that’s why I’m contacting tech support. Again, the Zap is connecting and its working: I can successfully run a test and I can transfer data manually. It just doesn’t seem to do it automatically on form submission. Are there any other ways to debug this?

@cqbent

This workaround was previously suggested:

@cqbent

For context, I’ve encountered this issue before with my clients.

I usually just use the webhook workaround.

OK, I finally got it to work via Webhooks. Thanks for the advice on the workaround.

That’s awesome @cqbent! A huge thanks to Troy for pointing you in the right direction!

Happy Zapping! ⚡️
