New message sent to page error

Hi ​@CarolineNguyen - can you pls share some screenshots of your Zap setup and the sample run that’s returning the “Hello World” message? 

1st pic is the message i just sent through 

2nd is the setup (trigger event is new message sent to page) & configure 

3rd is the output w the text “hello world”. thats supposed to be “can i get the menu pls" isnt it? 

Hi ​@CarolineNguyen that message you’re seeing in testing is just a sample message that the Facebook Messenger Zapier app generates for testing and building. You can see from the time stamp in your 3rd screenshot that it’s not related to the test message from your first screenshot. 
 

what I would suggest is that you send a new message to the Messenger widget, and then immediately hit “Find New Records” in the trigger in your Zap. You should then see the info from the actual test message that you just sent. 

I tried it out then hit the find new records, but still “Hello, world" with the unmatched time stamp. My intention is to set up a Zap that automatically replies to customer messages on Facebook using ChatGPT. 

Hi ​@CarolineNguyen - it’s strange that you’re not seeing your test messages flow through to the Facebook Messenger trigger in your Zap.

From your screenshot, I can see that the sample message in your trigger is from 2019. When you click into the other records in the trigger, do any of them show a more recent date/time?

​@CarolineNguyen one more thing worth trying is reconnecting the Facebook Messenger connection in Zapier. It’s not clear from your screenshots, but it’s possible that the connection has expired and needs to be refreshed. You can find instructions on how to do this here:
