New Mailchimp field not appearing as option in Configure section of new Zap

Hey all! I have a zap that takes new subscribers from Mailchimp and adds then as new rows in a google spreadsheet.

I just added a new field in Mailchimp, and to my google spreadsheet. In the Configure section of my zap, when I try to add in the Mailchimp mapping to the designated column in my spreadsheet, the new Mailchimp field isn’t appearing as an option.

Is there an additional step I need to do in order to have the new field appear as an option in Zapier?

I ended up needing to rebuild the zap. When I rebuilt it all the new Mailchimp fields appeared appropriately. Not sure why refreshing the connection didn’t do it, but it wasn’t that complex so rebuilding it wasn’t a huge tax.

Hi @JessDev,

if the new custom field doesn’t appear in the payload from the New Subscriber trigger, try adding a Find Subscriber step right after that. That should return all the available fields for the new subscriber.

Hey @JessDev 👋

How did you get on with that Find Subscriber action DennisWF suggested? Was it able to load the missing custom fields you were after?

Want to make sure this gets sorted, so please keep us posted on how you get on! 🙂

Thanks for sharing how you solved it, @JessDev! Not sure why rebuilding it allowed the missing fields to then appear. 🤔 Perhaps there was a limited set of fields cached in the old Zap and starting from scratch helped to get the rest of the fields loaded?

At any rate, I’m glad you were able to get it sorted. Do keep an eye on things though and if the issue re-surfaces please do reach out to our Support Team to have it investigated further. In the meantime, happy Zapping! 😁⚡
