I am a little lost on getting LendingPad to feed information to ClickUp.

There are a couple of things I’m trying to get done:
1) When I get assigned a loan (I’m an assistant), I want LendingPad to send the data to ClickUp. First, I want ClickUp to verify the LendingPad loan # doesn’t exist in ClickUp, and if it doesn’t, I want to create a task. And then update the information in all of my custom fields.

2) If it does exist, I want it to stop the Zap
3) Then, moving forward, as edits are made in LendingPad, I want those to update  in ClickUp (I’m sure this is a separate Zap than above).

My first issue, I am fully connected to LendingPad via my personal API keys. Zapier shows the connection is there but nothing is running when I update a file (I have my current Zap published) and when I’m trying to get data to test in Zapier, all I’m getting is incomplete test data.  Not anything that actually exists in my account.

I had used a different system before and didn’t have any problems connecting it. But we changed systems, so now I’ve got figure this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @satoriben

Some apps only return representative records with dummy data for you to use to configure the Zap action steps.

To fully test, you often have to turn the Zap ON and test live.

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Thanks.

I did get a Zap to run live. However, where I’m running into an issue is that when I am trying to configure  ClickUp to see if it already has a matching Loan Number, I’m not getting an option to match up the Loan Number from LendingPad to the Loan # custom field in ClickUp.

I’m just not quite sure what I’m doing wrong

@satoriben

You need to select a Zap trigger step record that has a value for Loan Number. (current mapped variable has “No Data”)

The current configured logic evaluates like this: Load ID equal to uVARIABLE FROM STEP 1 FOR LOAN NUMBER]

I realized, that for creating a task, I do not want there to be a matching value for the loan ID. I got this fixed and got information passed through. Now on to troubleshooting why phone numbers are being accepted.

Hi @satoriben,

We’re glad to hear that you fixed the previous issue here. Regarding the phone number issue, could you please elaborate a little bit more on this?

I'll be keeping an eye out for your response!
