I’m sorry for the confusion with the account created using your email address.
When you go to the forgot password page you need to enter the email address used to create the Zapier account. That will send an email to you with the instructions for resetting the password, it’ll have a link in it to take you to Zapier to enter your new password. When you do that, make sure that if the box is asking for your password, enter a new password and not your email address. As you’ve found out, if you try too often in a short space of time you’ll get an error message. If you leave it for a while and come back, you’ll be able to try again.
