Monday Column not pulling data for Google email automation

Hi all. 

I am trying to automate email. 

The trigger is a column change in Monday.com. 

Everything seems to be fine however for the subject line, I want to pull from a specific column. I have the correct column ID but Zapier only shows “update_column_value”. The number in the column does not carry over. When I add a second step to “get item by column value” the number I want does show up. So Zapier does seem to be able to pull this column data. 

 

What am I doing wrong?

Zapier can pull the correct data for column 
Subject shows “update_column_value”
Number I need to add to subject line for email - Column in Monday

    Hi @Mike G 

    You need to map the variable from Monday that has the desired value.

    The “Type” variable has a value that is indicating the type of update that triggered the Zap to run.
