Ok, I’m probably being too fancy with my integrations, but here is my issue.
I have a webinar in WebinarKit that I want people to sign up through a LinkedIn event, using the LinkedIn Lead Gen Form. So I set up a Zap from LinkedIn Lead Gen Form → WebinarKit registration. Works great.
In parallel with this, I have GoHighLevel natively integrated with WebinarKit, so that all webinar registrants have their contact info updated in GHL.
My goal is to have LinkedIn Lead Gen From → WebinarKit registration → GHL Contact
I tested this out, and it worked great!
However, this ONLY works when somebody checks the consent box on the LinkedIn form specifying that they are allowing other Services to be offered to them. When this box is checked, the above flow works.
But when this consent box is NOT checked, the WebinarKit registration works fine, however no contact info is updated in GHL.
This feels to me like a WebinarKit issue, and I have asked in that community. However, I do find it odd that this consent field is being passed along with the zap, when the WebinarKit zap action includes nothing about this consent box. It’s like there’s a stealth passing of info here, and I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts on how to get around this.
To be clear, I don’t want to sell anything else, I just want to be able to send emails, reminders, and followups to my event.
The way I’m going to try working around this is creating another zap from WebinarKit registration → GHL contact update, basically mimic’ing the GHL native integration. But I have no idea if tags that Webinar adds later to record webinar watch status will even get picked up, and I’m worried about waiting until the day of the event to find out...
If anybody has any other ideas, I’d appreciate any insight...
