Question

Line breaks not working in WhatsApp notifications causing error #100

Hello everyone, hope you are good!

I used to have multiple “\n” inside my body message while “Send Message in WhatsApp Notifications” in order to add line breaks and have text proper formatted.

Small sample: (full formatted sample attached)

Type Enseada - Unidade 78: \n\n Numero total de hospedes:

This used to work just fine till end of 2024, now for any reason, this doesn't work anymore and I keep getting error #100.

Without the \n my message gets totally unreadable. Is there a new way to add line breaks? I tried \r, <br> and also doesnt work.

Only way to make it work again is removing the \n’s.

Any suggestions?

I do appreciate the help!

Hi @nydiow,

Welcome to the Community.

The error #100 you're encountering with WhatsApp messages via Zapier likely indicates an unsupported message format, possibly due to recent changes in how WhatsApp handles line breaks. To resolve this, try adding spaces before and after \n, using double \n (\n\n), or using alternative characters like a full stop or dash for line breaks. If these solutions don't work, the issue may be on WhatsApp's side, and you should contact their support for further assistance.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi James, unfortunately, none of the suggestions worked, for sure the problem is with “\n” (that used to work just fine) but I couldnt find any character in order to introduce the line break.
