Lead Score by Zapier Error: The app returned "forbidden".
Hello, I have several zaps wich includes this tool by zapier, but suddenly today the app started to give a “forbidden” error in all the zaps, therefore if this step doesn´t cotinue, the rest of the zap wont.
I´ve tried to retest the step by disabling it and re enabling it and also tried to retest it with an old value (old email from an old entry that previously went well) and also gives me this error.
Any clues about this?
Thanks!

Hi @osvaldoa
Good question.
Can you post a screenshot of the encountered error?
You can only make 500 requests per month. If you go over this limit, the Zap will error. If you need to make more than 500 requests per month, or you need additional lead features, you can use the MadKudu integration instead.
Where does the information from Lead Score on Zapier come from?
Lead Score by Zapier is powered by MadKudu. MadKudu can provide much more detailed information about your leads, though they require a subscription to use their service. You can learn more about MadKudu's service here: https://www.madkudu.com/lead-scoring
It’s likely an issue with the Zap app integration.
It’s on Zapier to address (possibly with MadKudu), so all you can do is wait for a resolution.
We have exactly the same issue with this zap type.
Hi friends,
I did some digging into this, and it seems like this is a known bug with the Lead Score by Zapier app. Our team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. I've added your email address as another affected user. That does a few things:
Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
Help track and prioritize fixes
Allows us to notify you via email if/when this is fixed
Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA, but I’ve added you to the list of users affected by this issue so we can let you know as soon as we have any updates.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hi everyone,
Kaushi from Zapier support here.
We’ve reached out to MadKudu support (as the Lead Score by Zapier integration uses the MadKudu API) to verify why we were seeing a sudden uptick of “Forbidden” error messages with the 403 HTTP error code. This included customers whose monthly rate-limit haven’t expired.
MadKudu support verified that this onset of errors (started around 2023-10-03 12:00-14:00 UTC) was caused by an update to their API. They have now reverted this change and we’re seeing that the rate of 403 HTTP errors drop to 0 as of approximately 10:00 UTC today.
If you replay your errored Zap runs now, the Lead Score by Zapier should go through successfully (provided that your account’s rate-limit isn’t exceeded).
Thank you for your patience as we investigated this. Please let us know if you continue to see further issues.
