issues with whatsapp

Hi. I have a ZAP that sends me a whatsapp for every new lead and it suddenly stopped working. I changed the template and that fixed the problem for a few records, and then it stopped again. The record shows the message as “SENT”, but I’m not getting in whatsapp.

What might cause this?

Does Zapier only work from here on out if we start using a Business Whatsapp? That simply isn’t an option..

Not as far as I’m aware. The current requirements for using the WhatsApp Notifications app are listed here and they don’t reference needing Business WhatsApp.

 

That said, I see you also posted a message in the other topic as you reached out to the Support team and they identified that you were running into a bug. 

So I’ve added ​@alitb to the list of folks being impacted by the bug as well. We can’t give any ETA on when it will be fixed but we’ll be in touch by email as soon as it’s been resolved. 

We’ll use the other topic as the main thread for discussing the bug, so I’ll close this one out to keep all updates and discussion in a single place. I followed the steps suggested but it doesn’t fix the issue long term. For example, replying “interested” will work for a few records but then stop working. Manually opting in daily isn’t sustainable...

Really sorry that your messages aren’t appearing in WhatsApp consistently.

@alitb, how are things going with this? Did the steps mentioned on the related topic Andrew shared help you to get things sorted, or are you still running into issues?

@hawaii_rg, thanks for letting us know - needing to reply “Interested” every day definitely isn’t ideal! It could be that there’s something about the template or it’s content that’s continually being flagged on Meta’s end 🤔 Were you able to locate the templates in WhatsApp Manager to check their status? If so, can you follow up in the other topic to share what the template’s current status is and any other details you see there? Hoping it’ll give some insight there as to why the template is being paused/rejected. 🤞

@SamB  - I do not have access to the Meta templates, as I’m not operating off a Business Whatsapp. These are sent to personal Whatsapp phone number and therefore do NOT have access to WhatsApp Manager. Does Zapier only work from here on out if we start using a Business Whatsapp? That simply isn’t an option..
