Issue with Zapier and Pipedrive connection (Expired status)

Hello team,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with the integration between Pipedrive and Zapier.

The connection is showing as “Expired”, which is preventing my Zaps from running. When I try to reconnect the account, I receive the following error:

"The server returned 429 (Too Many Requests)"

It’s important to mention that this integration was previously working perfectly without any issues.

So far, I have already tried the following steps:

  • Removed the existing connection in Zapier
  • Reconnected the account from scratch
  • Verified that the user has admin permissions in Pipedrive
  • Confirmed that the account is active

However, the issue persists and the connection continues to appear as expired.

I appreciate your support and look forward to your response.

Hi @Homero

Try using a new/different private browser to re/connect the app to Zapier here: https://zapier.com/app/assets/connections

Check the Zapier Status page for recent/ongoing incidents: https://status.zapier.com

Hey @Homero !

That 429 error is just rate limiting from Pipedrive, it means too many requests were made in a short time. When that happens, Zapier can’t complete the reconnect, so it leaves the connection as expired even though nothing is actually wrong with your account. What usually fixes it is waiting a bit before trying again. Give it 15 to 30  minutes, then reconnect once, not multiple times in a row. Repeated attempts can keep triggering the limit. Also make sure no Zaps are constantly retrying in the background, because that can keep hitting the API and prevent the reconnect from going through. If it keeps happening even after waiting, then it’s likely there’s a Zap or another integration making too many calls to Pipedrive, and that would need to be scaled back.
