Insightly trigger - wrong test records

Hello,

I am creating a new Zap using Insightly and it keeps bringing up the same 3 records for testing, none of which will work for my testing.

---Setup---

App: Insightly

Trigger Event: New Record

---Configure---

Insightly Object: Lead

---Test---

*Search box finds nothing.

*Find new records returns the same 3 records; they are not suitable for testing.

How can I get Zapier to populate different test records? I have the record and lead ID’s for the records I would like to use, but I don’t see a way to get Zapier to acknowledge them.

Hi @James CRK

You can modify Zap trigger record data to help you configure and test: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/33561391372429-Modify-test-records-in-Zaps

The Insightly Zap triggers are instant via webhooks.

In Insightly, try creating a new record that meets the Zap trigger conditions.

Then try pulling thru new records in the Zap trigger TEST tab to use to configure your Zap action steps.

Ah I see now that the test data is not live data. Thanks for that link, I would have never seen that edit button otherwise.
