I want to create an automation that send a first personalised message when a NEW LEAD is created in Kommo CRM.

In the account of Kommo there are several users and I want to test only my user.

when I set up the initial trigger and I do the test, instead of taking the lead I just created manually in Kommo, it takes another one that is not assigned to my user and that looks empty.

How can select exactly the lead I just created to run the test?

Thx in advance,

Giuliano

Hi and welcome to the Community, @Giuliano Nicotra! 🎉

If it’s not pulling in the right lead you could always edit the test record data to match the lead that you want to test with. You can learn more about how to do that here: Modify test records in Zaps

Hope that helps. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Thanks @SamB for your feedback but now I’m facing another issue: It looks I can select my account of Kommo but I don’t know how to focus the automation only for one of the user that is me. Do you know how to do it @SamB ?

Thanks in advance!

@Giuliano Nicotra

You can add a filter step just after the trigger step and add a condition on it so the rest of the zap only runs when the user is you.

Thanks @Mohammad_Shahzaib_Nawaz for the tip. I used it

Hi @SamB could you have a look at this video

and help me understand why is not working?

Thx in advance!

Giuliano

Thanks for sharing that video @Giuliano Nicotra. There was personally identifiable information shown (PII) in the video so we had to remove the link. But it seems as though the issue is that there is no information coming through at all for the leads that you pull from Kommo, so you’re unable to modify it:

It could be that there’s a bug with the Kommo app that’s affecting the test records it’s loading 🤔 So I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team here to have this investigated further. If it does turn out to be a bug they’ll be able to open up a bug report so that Kommo’s developers can get this fixed.

In the meantime, can you try turning the Zap on and run a live test by creating a new lead in Kommo?

That should trigger the Zap for the test lead and then, in the Zap you’d select that recent Zap run for the test record instead. You can learn more about how to do that here: Modify test records in Zaps > Select from previous Zap run

Let us know how you get on with that!
