Question

How to keep multiple spaces in Teams messages

When I add multiple spaces between words, Teams removes them.   Say I want to say ‘test    test’, Teams result is ‘test test’.  Taking out additional spacing.  How do I get around this?

Hi @CozziRIOS,

Welcome to the Community.

Microsoft Teams automatically collapses multiple spaces into a single space to standardize text formatting. To preserve extra spaces, you can use non-breaking spaces (Alt + 0160) or insert special characters like dots between spaces (for example, "test . . . test"). However, these are workarounds; for precise spacing, consider using a different platform that supports it.

I hope this information is helpful, and I'm here to answer any further questions.

Hey there, @CozziRIOS! 👋

Did Jammer’s suggestion of using non-breaking spaces or inserting special characters do the trick? Or did you find a different solution?
