How to import Twilio recordings into Zapier for transcription

I’m trying to pull in Twilio recordings to be transcribed by ChatGPT then moved to another CRM. This youtuber was able to get a Twilio file transcribed just fine 1 year ago.

When I try to do it, I get an “authenticaiton” error.  And I believe it’s because the url generated for the MP3 file requires a username and password to access.

The problem is, that username and password is the same SID and secure key I enter to connect to Twilio at all, so why isn’t zapier using that to execute it?

Maybe this guy was able to do it before the change?  According to a stackoverflow post, Twilio secured their recording URLs 11 months ago.

Will Zapier be fixing this so it works? Seems like a simple fix

Hi @Tradeautomater

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • any encountered errors when testing Zap steps
