Question

How to cancel zaps that are currently paused because we exceeded the 750/mo limit

I need to cancel 1000 zaps that ran because we set a zap up incorrectly. They were paused luckily because they exceeded our 750/mo limit, but now I can’t even cancel them and get access to our zaps again. Has anyone experienced this and found a way to cancel zaps in the past? I’m only seeing the option to delete them or run them.

Hey @lindsey g

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in to lend a hand!

Are you’re seeing an error message or alert when trying to delete these held runs? If so, can you share a screenshot of the message you see?

Usually, these Held Runs can be deleted from your Zap History page. Once there, you can view only your held tasks by filtering your Zap Run History by the "Held" status.

Once you have the Zap History filtered by the “Held” status, you can:

1. Click "Select Shown" to select everything visible, or "Select All" to select up to 5,000 total Zap Runs.
2. Click "Delete" to remove these held runs.

Here’s a help doc with more details: Delete Zap runs

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Hey @peter.harrison, thanks so much for the quick response! I’m trying to cancel these zaps. When I go to delete them, it says deleted zaps will still be counted to your total zaps and have to be paid for which is why I’m trying to cancel them.

Is there a way to cancel these (I currently have 1570 zaps being held that I do not want to run)?

Hi @lindsey g

Any Zap Runs that have already used Tasks, meaning a Zap action step was performed successfully, will count towards your Zapier plan Task limit for the billing month.

Help links that covers how Task usage is measured: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496196837261-How-is-task-usage-measured-in-Zapier
