We have created a kanban board in Jira, and when an email gets specific tags a ticket should be created on the board in the correct column in Jira.

I’m able to get everything working - but whenever the ticket is created, it goes in the first column in Jira - and when creating the zaps I don’t see an option for selecting this second column.  Am I missing something basic?

At the moment I have a conditional split when this tag is on an email, from that specific data is pulled, and a Jira ticket is created - but I don’t see an option for selecting which column the ticket is created in.

Hi @lumas,

Welcome to the Community.

When creating an issue in Jira via Zapier, it is placed in the workflow's first status, corresponding to the first column on a Kanban board. To move the issue to a different column, you need to transition it to the status associated with that column. This can be done by adding a 'Transition Issue' step in your Zap after the 'Create Issue' step, where you can select the desired status transition.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi there, @lumas 👋

Did Jammer’s suggestions did the trick, or did you find a different solution?
