I'm using Zapier to send Google Forms responses to HubSpot to Create a Deal, but for one dropdown field meant to select a pipeline stage, Zapier only lets me pick a fixed stage instead of mapping the form response dynamically—how can I make it use the dropdown selection from the form?

Can you share a screenshot on how did you configure Hubspot action?

For us to have more info about the Zap step error, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

The deal stage data is from a dropdown option I created on Google Forms.

The value that you have mapped for Deal Stage is incorrect. You have to map the Stage ID and not stage name.

Just came across this and wanted to check how you got on with the lookup table Troy suggested. Did it help to get rid of the errors by converting those deal stage names into the corresponding IDs?
